This 215mm carver has been a fun build and it's now aching to start slicing something succulent.

Wearing an incredibly figured piece of purple dyed and stabilised maple burl, paired with black G10 liners and carbon fibre pins it's like looking at a nebula with a few black holes in there for good measure.

With a slim and smooth ergonomic grip and nice weight to it with the balance at the ricasso, it feels great in the hand and would well suit a Father who does the carving. Hint hint...
 
Since the blade is made from carbon steel it is NOT stainless and will build up a beautiful and unique patina with use. This blue, grey and black colouring will protect the blade from rust as it builds and acts as a record of all the things it has been through (literally)!
