Round 2 at attempting a mustard patina and I love how this one came out. Funny the difference English mustard vs Dijon makes...
This blade is in my Classic petty profile, with both frontal taper to the blade and a distal taper to the tang. This results in an extremely light and agile blade, for great control on the chopping board and coming in at just 125g.
The handle is gorgeously figured brown dyed stabilised Karelian birch with Red G10 liners and polished aluminium pins.
*Since the blade is made from carbon steel it is NOT stainless and will build up a beautiful and unique patina with use. This blue, grey and black colouring will protect the blade from rust as it builds and acts as a record of all the things it has been through (literally)!
