182mm carving knife made in KwbKnives stainless-clad San Mai steel with an dark etched 80crv2 carbon steel core.
The 'Wa' handle construction features a stainless steel retainment pin, and is made from a dyed and stabilised maple burl block, aluminium spacer and 5000 year old Bog Oak bolster.
*Since the core of the blade is made from carbon steel it is NOT stainless and will build up a beautiful and unique patina with use. The core of blade has been etched already for a forced patina, though this will likely change with use.
This blue, grey and black colouring will protect the blade from rust as it builds and acts as a record of all the things it has been through (literally)!
